Make your next escape to the year-round sun and warmth with a visit to Florida. Many vacationers will find themselves at the beach, playing in the waves, or one of the many theme parks dotting the state. Spend some time at the sea or cool off with the added excitement of a water park. SunSplash Waterpark in Cape Coral is the perfect place to get some sun and water fun as well as the thrills of water slides and other attractions. Hours vary, so make sure to book your tickets online, or check their operating hours calendar before heading out. The park is located at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd in Cape Coral. Call them at 239-574-0558.
Main Stream River Tube Ride
Grab a tube and float your cares away down the lazy river. The quarter-mile river winds around the park, past Lake Kennedy and many other park attractions at a low speed so you can sit back and relax.
While the “big slides” aren’t for the little ones, Sun Splash doesn’t leave them out of the water-filled fun. Pirate’s Cove is an interactive water play structure featuring slides, a “hydro storm”, water blasters, gushers, geysers, and more. Watch at the bucket fills with water, tipping slightly with each drop until the contents come crashing down on swimmers below. Should you ever get bored, the nearby pro racer slides are for the little ones who want a big thrill of their own.
Most slides end directly into the water. Come out the end of one of the drops slides and free fall just a bit before landing in the pool. Guests must be 48” tall to ride.
The “Terror Tube,” “Thunder Bump,” and “X-Cellerator” are three of the most thrilling slides in the whole SunSplash Waterpark in Cape Coral. Each offers the tallest and fastest slides in the park. Make sure to try all three before picking a favorite. Guests must be 48” tall to ride each slide. Once you’ve dominated those, move on to Cape Fear, where you’ll start atop a 30’ high platform and shoot through a darkened tunnel for 215 feet of excitement. Single or double tubes are permitted, and riders must be 48” tall to ride alone.
The previously mentioned attractions are just the tip of the iceberg! There are still a number of slide, the “Sand Dollar Walk” –a strength and agility ropes course over water –and much more in this amazing Cape Coral water park.
