Make your next escape to the year-round sun and warmth with a visit to Florida. While many visitors will pack their bathing suits and beach gear and lay out on the sand, there are still other outdoor spaces to be explored. Sirenia Vista Park is an eight-acre environmental park that offers a serene getaway from the busy beaches along the Gulf. The park is located at the corner of Ceitus Parkway & Old Burnt Store Road in Cape Coral. The city of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation department can be reached at 239-573-3129. The park is open daily, 7 a.m. -9 p.m.
Manatee Viewing & Fishing
In the cooler months, you can spot manatees gliding through the water of the park’s dead-end canal located across from the park’s fishing pad. The area is great for fishing too, and there’s an area dedicated to the activity just across the water from the manatee viewing area. Kayaking
Launch your vessel from one of the park’s launches, then follow the path along the Calusa Blueway through Matlacha. The Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail is a 190-mile marked canoe and kayak trail that takes paddlers through the coastal waters and inland tributaries of Lee County. There are trail maps online so you can plan your path before you head out.
Birds
Spend some time birding in the park. You’ll see a myriad of species, but you’ll want to make sure you check out the osprey nest and Purple Martin houses. These birds come around yearly to nest and if you’re lucky you can spot their babies as they hatch.

There are several future phases planned. The park intends to add an elevated boardwalk, environmental center for learning about the area and its inhabitants, as well as other shoreline and landscape improvements.
