Labor Day weekend is one of the best times for you to visit the bustling town of Cape Coral, FL. Forget going to the over-busy cities of Tampa or Orlando, where you can’t find accommodation and the cities are too crowded to enjoy. Also, Disney World and Miami are always overrun with tourists, making it hard for you to find a hotel, beach house, or cabin to stay in for your upcoming holiday.

We have a better idea in mind — stay in one of our coastal rentals in Cape Coral, FL, to have the vacation of a lifetime. We guarantee that our modern and luxurious properties have everything you want, and more, so you can relax and destress during your coastal holiday. There is nothing better than having someone take care of your accommodation, itinerary, and questions — we are there every step of the way to solve your problems and provide you with up-to-date tips on the best things to do and see in this cool town!

Let’s see a few must-do activities during the bustling Labor Day in Cape Coral.

Outdoor Sports

You can’t go to Cape Coral without experiencing the plethora of outdoor sports in the area, such as watersports, fishing, kayaking, boating, and surfing. Head to Cape Coral to experience nearly 300 miles of freshwater, 100+ miles of gulf access, and 24-hour fishing allowed on almost every park in the county. This pristine area of the Sunshine State offers pristine fishing on the canals, marinas, boat ramps, and deep sea.

If you would rather stay on land during your vacation, don’t worry — you can go walking along the coastal paths, biking along the beach, and golfing on one of the numerous lush green courses in Cape Coral. This town has no shortage of golf courses, featuring four 18-hole courses that are near bright blue lakes, lush greenery, food eateries, club bars, and much more. We recommend going to the Royal Tee to experience the 27-hole championship course with rolling hills. Or check out Coral Oaks if you want to head to Knickers Pub for refreshments afterward!

Shopping

Sometimes, you want to go on vacation just to relax and not worry about sports — we don’t blame you! Head to Cape Harbour and Marina Village for high-end shopping, a beautiful marina backdrop, waterfront restaurants, snack bars, and kid-friendly activities that will keep the entire family entertained. We recommend booking a table at a waterfront restaurant so you can see the exotic reef and the cape. Head to the Cape Coral Farmers Market during the day to pick up local produce, fresh fruit, and desserts for later. You can also quickly drive to Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers in just a few minutes if you have not had enough shopping yet!

Plus, it is super easy and efficient to walk into the streets of downtown South Cape Coral to continue your shopping or dining spree. We recommend going here at night to listen to live music, take a crack at karaoke, listen to comedians, grab a slice of pizza at Rum Runners, or sing along to local musicians’ songs at Nauti Mermaid. Keep the night going with some line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse or have a few pints at Cape Coral Brewing Company.

Have a Picnic at the Park

Cape Coral has no shortage of parks — Cape Coral has over 400 miles of canals that all connect to forests, parks, green spaces, and preserves for you to explore during your stay. We love floating along the canals and going fishing, birdwatching, and crabbing in the freshwater.

Head to the Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve to see mangrove trees up close and personal, take photos of marine life and birds, and see if dolphins make an appearance! You can also coast along the Great Calusa Blueway through Pine Island and Estero Bay to go fishing, paddling, or hiking on one of the numerous trails.

If you want to continue the outdoor-centric fun, head to Sirenia Vista Park to see the manatees, eagles, and mangroves. For hikers, we love going to the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve to wander around the wetlands, bike on the boardwalk, or take photos of the famous bird.

Get a Tan on the Beach

Finally, there is nothing better to do than head to the beach if you spend time in Cape Coral! We recommend going to the Yacht Club Beach to relax with a drink in hand and feel the sun on your face. The Four Freedoms Park is good for those who want to relax by the Bimini Basin as they sunbathe. Or head to the beach volleyball court at the Yacht Club for a challenging game!
